Synod Congregational Reports Extended Due Date: May 2nd!

Each year the LCMS requests a year-end statistics report and an update to lay leader information from every congregation.  It’s that time of year again!  If your congregation has not yet received an email from Rosters and Statistics with all needed information, be on the lookout, as they were scheduled to be sent during the week of January 20.  Emails were sent to the email on file for the congregation.  If there was no general congregational email, it would have been sent to a pastor.  If no pastor email, Synod looked for chairpersons, treasurers, secretary, or administrator emails that may be on file.  Only one email will be sent per congregation.  If a congregation has NO email on file, a hard copy will be mailed. Completed reports are now due by May 2, 2025.

So why is it important?  These official statistical reports are used for district and synod convention assessments, assist in current and future ministry efforts, and determining proper voting representation.  The annual reporting is also a commitment made by each congregation as part of their membership in Synod (per Synod bylaws).

Online reports are completed through lc.lcms.org (which is also where your congregation can go at ANY time of the year to update contact information, lay leaders, etc).  Your email / mail will give step-by-step instructions, but there are also on-screen helps on the login page to recover your credentials if you can’t remember yours.  Please note that the Indiana District Office DOES NOT have access to any congregational login information.  For login help, you will need to use the on-screen helps or contact LCMS’s Department of Rosters and Statistics by email at rosters.stats@lcms.org or by calling 314.996.1366.

THANK YOU for your attention to this important task!
