Conventions
There are two main conventions: an Indiana District Convention, and Synod’s National Convention. The Indiana District holds its District Convention in the year prior to the National Convention.
District Conventions
The business of the district-level convention includes the election of officers, Board of Directors, councils and committees and the consideration of reports and overtures. Each congregation is entitled to one voting pastor delegate and one voting lay delegate.

Synod Conventions
The LMCS National Convention is held once every 3 years. The business of the synod-level convention includes the election of synodical president, other officers, and the consideration of reports and overtures, among other business. Each congregation and multi-congregation parish is entitled to one voting pastor delegate and one voting lay delegate, chosen by official congregation action and registered. Districts are also divided into electoral circuits and represented by elected ordained and commissioned advisory delegates. The goal is to have all of our Indiana District congregations represented and heard!
