st-john-lutheran-church-gary-inRev. Delwyn Campbell of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hemet, California, has accepted the call from St. John Lutheran Church in Gary, Indiana, to serve as Strategic Mission Developer for Gary, Indiana. Rev. Campbell comes to us through the Mission Field: USA initiative of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and is very excited about the call.

Over a year in the making, this position has been made possible through a partnership with the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, with the full support of Rev. Daniel May, President of the Indiana District. Rev. Geoffrey Robinson, Executive Counselor for Outreach and Human Care, has worked closely with Rev. Steve Schave, head of New Starts and Urban Ministry, as well as Rev. Roosevelt Gray, head of Black Ministry for LCMS, to bring about this call. Rev. Rick Boshoven of The Gary Circuit Visitor has also worked zealously with the Gary congregations of St. John Lutheran, Our Savior Lutheran, and St. Philip Lutheran to welcome Rev. Campbell as the Strategic Mission Developer for Gary, Indiana.
