The absolute and eternal victory of Easter is our personal joy and our church celebration!
“For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory. “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”]
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 15:53 -56
Our lives and our ministry stand firmly on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our eternity hangs on the truth of the Holy Gospel! Earlier in 1 Cor. 15 Paul writes, “ But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”
Easter is not a one day celebration (remember every Sunday is a little Easter) but the certainty of our salvation. We see and rejoice in the powerful display of God’s love for us from Incarnation to Resurrection!
Keep on celebrating – your sins are forgiven because Jesus has overcome the world, death and Satan! CHRIST HAS RISEN! HE HAS RISEN INDEED!
P.S. Are you remembering the deadline for nominations for district president? It is April 13!
