Each November, we Americans set aside a special day to give thanks to God. We thank Him for protecting the Pilgrims, the first religious refugees to land on American soil. We thank Him for the kindness of strangers, including the First Americans who helped the Pilgrims survive. And we thank Him for the abundant blessings we have received as a nation.
As Lutheran people, we also thank God for an abundant spiritual harvest. Here in the Indiana District, the Gospel is proclaimed and souls are being gathered in! Churches across our District are experiencing growth, and individuals are experiencing new life in Christ. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to be laborers in your harvest field!
