Ministry in Mission is a Recognized Service Organization of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. They have been providing humanitarian & religious support to Haiti since 2006. There are many opportunities for congregations and / or individuals to support this international ministry.
Right now, Ministry in Mission is hearing devastating news of extreme hunger in Haiti. COVID-19 has caused rapid, unprecedented inflation. The gourde (Haitian currency) is now valued at 1,200 to one US dollar. As a result of exorbitant prices, families are being forced to make desperate choices to stave off starvation.
To put the hunger problem into perspective, a bag of rice that cost Haitians $8 at the end of 2019, now costs $33. These prices are putting basic food products out of reach of many, already poverty-stricken, families.
You can help. Please pray that God will provide for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Haiti. If you are able, please consider donating any monetary amount to Ministry in Mission’s Haiti Relief Fund.
Donations are accepted in three ways.
- Online giving: Donate at www.MinistryInMission.org

Ministry in Mission also supports an eldercare facility and orphanage, provides hot meals to hundreds of children and elderly through several feeding programs, and runs a school sponsorship program. They operate a guesthouse, which is used by many LCMS church teams and other mission groups each year.
