Suburban Bethlehem Fort Wayne 125th. Anniversary Celebration

Over 250 current and former members, staff, and invited guests assembled Sunday, April 30, at
Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School gymnasium, 6318 West California Road, for the
official celebration dinner of the church’s 125th Anniversary.

The morning began with Rev. David Mews, former SBL graduate and confirmand, as guest
preacher for all three weekend services. Pastor Mews, his wife Maggie and their five children were also
honored guests at the dinner, along with former SBL Pastor Richard “Kip” Smith and wife Lora, and many
previous SBL principals, teachers and church staff.

The year-long 125th observation began in January with a Celebration Service and will conclude in October with a Fall Anniversary Festival. The Rev. Don Meyer, a former SBL minister, will be guest preacher for the weekend services.
