School Safety Specialist Training

Published on June 28th, 2018

The Indiana General Assembly recently passed Indiana Code 5-2-10.1-13 during a special session which allows charter schools and accredited nonpublic schools to designate a school safety specialist. In order to become a certified school safety specialist, the Indiana Department of Education provides Basic Level Training at no cost to participants (including lodging for participants traveling more than 75 miles). Please take advantage of this opportunity to improve your safety planning and preparedness by adding a school safety specialist.

The next round of Basic Level training begins November 5 and 6, 2018. Full details of the program and registration forms are available online here.
