You have probably noticed a surge of scam emails, phone calls, and letters over the past few years.  It seems to be everywhere!  Unfortunately, our district office has been dealing with a pretty steady stream of such issues, as well.  The most recent scam emails have been more detailed and seem to be at least a bit more plausible and “better written” than some of the others have been.  Please be careful!

SO WHAT CAN YOU DO?  We have 3 things to keep in mind:

  1. District office staff will NEVER ask you to send money or gift cards, asking you to “handle something” on our behalf.
  2. Check the original sender email address.  All official email from the district office will end with  If that isn’t the ending of the email address, even if the rest of the address looks legitimate, DELETE IT!
  3. When in doubt, feel free to call the district office at 260.423.1511
