Jesus in the Hearts of Children
Over 6000 students are being taught in 15 Lutheran schools in the African country of Liberia. Under the direction of Joe Boway, these record numbers have been on the grow since the inception of this ministry in 2004.
He thanks you for your prayers for his February-March trip to Liberia. The ministry to the children in our 15 Lutheran schools in rural Liberia is going well. Your prayers and financial support are helping the children and their parents to hear about Jesus. Joe continues to say, “We are still in great need of additional catechisms. Will you please help us reach our goal of 5000 catechisms this year?”
Your congregation and/or school or Sunday school could adopt collecting Luther’s catechisms as a mission project. They can be used or new in any edition if it is in English. Establish a collection site on your campus and publicize it. You can also purchase catechisms from an eBay dealer (ThriftBooks) in Aurora, IL for $4.09 each.
