Outreach Workshop on Opening Doors

Published on February 5th, 2017

Zion Lutheran Church (6513 W 300 S, New Palestine, Indiana) is hosting an Outreach Workshop on Saturday, February 11. In the past, the doors of the church opened inward, as all were invited and welcomed. Today, God is calling the church to open the doors outward so that the people of God might take the Gospel to their community.

Rev. Dr. Terry Tieman, the author of Hinges, shares the 8 key factors that lead to conversions and increased worship attendance. These factors are captured by the Eight Hinges that open the doors of the church outward and empower the church to have an impact upon the community.

Rev. Terry Tieman is also the Executive Director of Transforming Churches Network (TCN), which helps churches become more effective in reaching their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. TCN’s transformation process – which is based on Biblical principles and was developed through worldwide research on effective mission movements and pilot projects – has successfully changed hundreds of churches from the inside out.  Terry and TCN have been partnering with The Lutheran Foundation of Northeast Indiana for the past 5 years and have helped over 20 churches become more effective in outreach and mission.

The workshop is at Zion Lutheran from 9am until 3pm. Lunch is provided. To register, please call 317-861- 5544.
