The LCMS has more than 170 campus ministries with an additional 610 contact ministries. These ministries, currently covering about 25 percent of colleges and universities, strive to reach out to both the 160,000 students from LCMS congregations and the millions not yet connected in faith. About 8,000 students currently worship at LCMS campus ministry centers every weekend.
