You are invited to join Esther Dunlop, Michaela Wilaby and Al Freeman as we share, support, and encourage you in your vocation as a New Lutheran School Teacher!
Please join us by Zoom from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the following dates:
September 29: The year has started, your room is put together, you have been teaching for a month, now what? We will discuss parent/teacher conferences, communication suggestions, upcoming LEA conference and how to not be overwhelmed, self-care, and field questions.
December 8: Christmas programs, Christmas breaks, how to get the students back in January after they have been away from the classroom, travel, and self-care, field questions.
April 20: How to successfully close out the school year, how to make the most of your summer, expectations from parents and administrators on end of school year items, field questions, what you learned from the school year.
The first 15-20 minutes of each Zoom session will be time for tips, thoughts, and ideas with the rest of the time devoted to questions, sharing, and encouraging one another.
Esther Dunlop: Esther Dunlop currently teaches fourth grade at St. Luke’s Lutheran School, Oviedo, FL. She began her career at Immanuel Lutheran School, Olivette, MO where she received the MACTE Outstanding Beginning Teacher Award and LEA’s Outstanding New Elementary Teacher Award.
Michaela Wilaby: Michaela currently teaches first grade at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Green Bay, WI. Michaela received LEA’s 2022 New Lutheran Early Childhood Teacher Award.
Dr. Alan Freeman: Associate Director of LCMS School Ministry.
