New Lutheran SGO Executive Director

We are pleased to introduce Scott Schumacher as the new Executive Director of the Lutheran Scholarship Granting Organization (LSGO) of Indiana!  Scott has 30 years of experience in Lutheran Schools, serving as a teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, and development director.  For the past 18 years, Scott has worked for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and School in Columbus, Indiana.  Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University – Chicago, IL in 1993 and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Butler University in 2001.  In 2021, Scott received a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the IUPUI Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.  Scott also has been actively involved with National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA), serving on many validation teams, serving as a former National Executive Committee Chairman, and currently serving as the NLSA Commissioner for Indiana.  Scott will continue to serve in his part-time role as NLSA Commissioner.  Scott has championed the LSGO for the past ten years at St. Peter’s, creating a culture of support through this amazing program.  St. Peter’s has been a leader in supporting the LSGO, raising more money than any other school connected with the LSGO.  Scott and his wife, Anita, live in Columbus and are blessed with three adult children and one grandchild.  Scott’s official start date with the LSGO is October 1, 2023.

We thank Jon Dize for his tremendous work over the past ten years to create and build our successful LSGO.  There is no question that God used Jon in amazing ways to launch and grow our LSGO.  Please keep Jon in your prayers as he seeks new opportunities to make an impact in our world while serving God and others!
