New Gift Planning Counselor for the Indiana District

Published on January 31st, 2019

Mr. Andy Behrmann has been named Gift Planning Counselor at The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) Foundation effective January 3, 2019. Behrmann will serve the donors and ministry organizations of the Indiana District and replaces former Gift Planning Counselor Rev. Phil Krupski, who currently leads the Gift Planning team.

Berhmann comes to the LCMS Foundation from the Ivy Tech Foundation and Ivy Tech Community College, where he worked in fundraising and served on the faculty. Prior to Ivy Tech, Andy worked in retirement planning and arts administration. He has an undergraduate degree from DePauw University, and completed his graduate work at Penn State. In addition, he has completed coursework at The Fundraising School at the IUPUI Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

“Andy is a devout child of God who longs to serve the Lord in direct ways in His Church,” said Rev. Phil Krupski, Senior Vice President of Gift Planning. “God has blessed Andy richly with many talents, deep education and infectious  enthusiasm, that will enable him to assist the Lord’s faithful stewards to see the opportunities they have to plan gifts to family and gifts that support the ministry of the Church.”

Behrmann is a lifelong Lutheran who enjoys helping fellow Christians discern the best ways to put to use the gifts God has given them. He and his wife Anna are members at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and School in the Indianapolis area, where he has served on the Board of Elders, led several Bible studies, and participated in mission trips. He is looking forward to sharing the love of Christ by helping develop gift plans that ensure his fellow members have the security of knowing that their needs and the needs of their families will be taken care of, while at the same time have the peace of knowing they are being wise stewards of their God-given resources.
