This fall, Lisa Slack joined the staff of the Indiana District and is training under Jan Koenig. Jan currently serves as the assistant to the Indiana District president. Lisa will be working alongside Jan in preparing for conventions, pastor’s conferences, scheduling, and assisting individual church needs. Upon Jan’s retirement in 2021, Lisa will transition into Jan’s role and oversee the responsibilities of that office.

For the last three years, Lisa worked as the executive administrative assistant to the senior pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church. Previous to this, she was the director of children’s ministry at the church, and has been a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Lisa has also worked in the educational system as an English teacher and has a master’s degree from Ball State University.

Lisa resides in Fort Wayne with her husband, Vince, and their three kids. Jeffrey is a freshmen at Grace College, while Michael attends Concordia High School and Megan attends Concordia Lutheran Elementary.

Lisa is looking forward to learning her new role at the district office and serving the churches in the Indiana District. “I’m looking forward to building those relationships with congregations and pastors and facilitating the two,” she says. “This is an exciting opportunity to see how God can use me in a different way.”
