LERT Chainsaw Training–K&K Dirtworks, North Evanston

The Indiana District will provide a LERT Chainsaw Training on Saturday October 19th from 8am-4pm at K&K Dirtworks in North Evanston Indiana. This training provides LERT volunteers with the knowledge and skills needed to safely remove fallen trees and other debris in the aftermath of a natural disaster.

Participants must have already completed a Basic LERT Volunteer Training, and must be 18 or older to participate in the practical portion of the class. Registration is $50, which includes lunch, snacks, and water.

Participants must wear steel-toe shoes during the practical portion of the class, and should bring additional Personal Protective Equipment (helmet, eye protection, gloves) and a chainsaw with fuel if possible. Limited numbers of chainsaws and PPE will be available for those who do not already own such equipment.

Due to the hands-on nature of the class, capacity is limited to 10 participants and all registrations must be completed by October 12th.
