Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots Winter Report

Published on February 28th, 2018

On the first weekend in January, LAMP’s Pastor-pilot, Dennis Ouellette, flew to the northern Canadian community of Cross Lake, Manitoba to meet up with members of the LAMP mission team that lead summer Vacation Bible School.  The team came prepared for a busy winter visit while in their community with something going on during the day and evening.  Members of the team delivered “Hope Notes” as well as gifts to several dozen of the children and families.  The group walked around the elementary school praying for each of the children’s safety and for peace within.  During the evenings, the gym was opened for the children and youth to play games and hang out with the team.  On Sunday morning, Pastor Dennis held a worship service for the community at the school. The team led Sunday school, crafts and even a scavenger hunt in the school.  Lots of fun! There were so many opportunities to share the love of Jesus Christ with others.  Connections to the community and the children are very strong, with ongoing support and encouragement in their faith of Jesus Christ. Watch for LAMP’s spring newsletter for more details and photos!
