King of Kings

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble….The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

This is a gold-crowngreat Sunday! On the last Sunday of the Church year we rejoice in Jesus who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!  As we think about the end times we may find ourselves saying, “Come Lord Jesus!  Today would be good!  It would be of course, but if it isn’t this day we trust that God has more for us to do!

So, on this Sunday we look forward with great confidence in God who is indeed our “refuge and strength”!  Since the, “God of Jacob is our fortress” and since He is with us we take each new day and year as a gift from His hand!

As we conclude this church year we give hearty thanks to God for the year now past and we begin the Advent season with the sure hope we have in the promise of the Bethlehem Babe!advent-wreath
