Jubilee in the City

You are invited to join with Shepherd of the City, Fort Wayne, in celebrating their 50th anniversary on October 4.   The celebration, themed Jubilee in the City, begins at their 9:30 worship service and continues with a 4:00 hymn fest.  This year also marks the 13th year for the hymn fest.  Kantor Matthew Machemer, Associate Kantor at Concordia Theological Seminary and Choir Director at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in downtown Fort Wayne will lead the afternoon event.  A reception will follow the hymn fest.  The event is free and open to the public.  A freewill offering will be taken to support the restoration of Shepherd of the City’s historic, 117-year-old sanctuary.  This effort will go toward their goal of raising $20,000 for needed upkeep and repairs.
