Indiana District BOD Calls Rev. Robert Paul as District Education Executive

Dear Friends in Christ,

As you know, the Indiana District Board of Directors at its regular meeting this past month elected to Call the Reverend Robert Paul (Memorial, Houston) to serve as our District Education Executive. Rev. Paul has spent the last several weeks in careful and prayerful deliberation of that Call, considering where and how he would best be able to serve the Lord and His people.

We received word from Rev. Paul this morning that he has been led to decline the Call to our Indiana District, in order to continue serving as the Headmaster of Memorial Lutheran School. We are grateful for his conscientious consideration, and we pray for the Lord’s ongoing blessings upon him, his family, and his parish there.

It is my intention to call a special meeting of our District Board of Directors over the next few weeks, for the purpose of extending another Call to the position of District Education Executive. The Search Committee presented the Board with three very good and qualified candidates at its December meeting, and the members of the Board are well equipped to elect one of the remaining two candidates. I remain very much at peace with the process, knowing that the outcome is in the Lord’s hands, as it ever and always is, and that He will provide the right man at the right time.

Please pray for the Board and for our District as we move forward in faith, hope, and love, in anticipation of the Lord’s tender mercies upon our schools and parishes.

A blessed Feast of the Epiphany to each of you and to all those under your care!

In Christ,

Pr. Stuckwisch
