On Sunday, August 21, Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School (Indianapolis) conducted a service of praise and thanksgiving at the dedication and expansion of their new education center. Song and Scripture focused upon, “Do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come” (Psalm 71:18).
The congregation celebrated and dedicated in worship the completion of additional classrooms as well as an expanded gymnasium for worship, programs, larger gatherings, and for sports. Pastoral team, Sattler & McClean, indicated we have always been about reaching more people for Jesus and have made the phrase, “For Those to Come” an integral part of why we are here. Their most recent capital fund drive last fall was called “4 Those to Come” because it was the 4th such campaign.
We celebrate with all at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School for the generosity of hundreds of people who were able to raise commitments for over $4.2 million dollars. The new facility is completely paid off due to the generosity of the congregation. We gave thanks to our Heavenly Father for the gift that Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Schools is to the Indiana District and the community they serve. With grateful hearts to our Lord and Savior, Holy Cross provides the means by which the Holy Spirit will work through many so that many will hear about Jesus now and the many who will get to know about Jesus in the future.
