This started as a simple communication to one teacher with a heart to promote recruiting artwork but then I realized it could be a quick way to reach so many of you with ways to bless our community if you could grasp even a part of this opportunity to assist! Thanks so much for your heart and commitment to recruiting art work and promoting the concept that we can use Christ Child Festival events to enrich the lives of the student families in sharing the Gospel with their ARTWORK, bringing their contacts who don’t know Jesus, and beyond sharing their artistic talent by a short time of using “thanksliving” (USING THEIR THANKFUL HEARTS FOR THEIR PERSONAL BLESSINGS BY VOLUNTEERING FOR UPTO 4 HOURS) on Thanksgiving Eve afternoon or evening! IT COULD BE A WONDERFUL TIME FOR THEM TO BUILD A MEMORY OF PLANTING SEEDS FOR SALVATION, ENCOURAGING THE FAITHFUL AND PROVIDING A FREE, FUN, FAMILY-FRIENDLY REFRESHING TIME TO INTRODUCE THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
We are using the theme Follow the Crimson Thread again this year. The artwork should be on an 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of red construction paper to frame their creation glued to the piece of construction paper. The image should represent the student’s favorite Bible narrative. They could even add a short explanation of why it is their favorite, the source of the narrative, add their name and age if desired. We are trying to help guests grasp that the Bible is more than a collection of Bible “stories” as that term can include fiction, myths, etc.
IMPORTANT CONCEPT TO PROMOTE: “The Bible is a narrative of events. Real people. Real time. Each is connected by the Crimson Thread–Jesus Christ– who shed His blood and died for our sin. And He’s coming again. He loved us that much!”
Then after submitting their entry, please encourage them to bring their unchurched friends to come view their artwork and /or family volunteer to supervise a craft, be a greeter, or serve as Mary, Joseph, a wiseman, shepherd, or angel.
Our beautiful, revised website is ChristChildFest.org where they can also print off invitations to the events, carry them with YOU when running errands and WITH MANY CATCHING THAT VISION provide thousands worth of advertising for a few pennies expended by the “missionary” by simply posting even a business card up to legal size flyer on public bulletin boards.
We would also encourage students to pray that all involved with the planning and event itself would be alert for Holy Spirit guidance for every aspect of the CCF sponsored events and when discerning that guidance be obedient to God’s plan!
With great expectations as we operate as a coordinated body of Christ as examples to a world with such a need for a relationship with OUR SAVIOR,
