Getting to the Heart of Conflict

Published on March 16th, 2018

Presented by Rev. Ed Keinath, CrossLife Ministries. Have you ever wondered, “What causes fights and quarrels among you?” According to James 4:1, “Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?” Conflict begins in the heart. Getting to the Heart of Conflict is a half-day Bible study on understanding how the desires of our heart spark and fuel conflicts in our lives. Using the First Commandment and Luther’s Explanation of the First Commandment, three idols of our heart will be explored – Fear, Cravings, and Misplaced Trust. Participants will learn how to reframe their struggles in conflict with new biblical clarity. Most importantly, they learn how to bring healing through the very personal application of confession and forgiveness. Join us on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Fellowship Hall of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The cost is $10 per person. Register through the Church office at 812-522-1837. The Board of Evangelism will be serving a lunch following the seminar for those wishing to attend.

Guest Preacher at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour – Sunday, April 22, 2018, Rev. Ed Keinath will preach at both the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Rev. Keinath will also lead a Bible Study class entitled “Careless Talk” in the Parish Hall following the 8:00 a.m. service. A book table will be available between services to view and purchase resources from CrossLife Ministries.
