I’ve written another installment in a series of articles about Restorative Affect and Student Discipline, published on Friday by the LEA. The editors’ selected this text as the introduction to the eight essentials for a disciplinary system in a Lutheran School:
The way educators treat children directly impacts what they believe about themselves as students. Every behavioral encounter must be an authentic effort to improve student affect and conation, recognizing that student behavior is strong predictor of cognitive/scholastic success, which is one very clear purpose of schooling.
I invite you to read this, and follow up on any or all eight!
