In the prayer our Lord taught us, we recite “Thy kingdom come.” Martin Luther explained we pray in this petition that His kingdom may “come among us.” Yet…
“The church in America is struggling,” observes Rev. Dr. PC Matthew, who will lead a seminar on missional families at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne on September 28. “I am challenging the US church to train and send families into the community to win all to Christ– but it’s not what you think. This is not door-to-door evangelism, rather, it’s being a family that loves others as Christ loved us.”
Join us as Rev. Mathew, leads us through his extensive study and research on the impact of “missional families” on churches and communities. He and his wife, Ciby (traveling from India as missionaries to America!) will speak, lead discussion, and teach church leaders (ordained, commissioned, and lay) what it means to cultivate intentional and missional families within churches, a training that can be implemented in your congregation to train up strong parents and families, who will in turn become an attractional force for ministry to families in your community!
