The catechism is full of weird stuff Christians believe. Christ, who was dead, is risen. Baptism now saves you. We eat and drink His body and blood in communion. We strive to love our neighbor. The catechism answers “what does this (weird stuff) mean?” but it also shapes what we look like. If you believe the stove is hot, it shapes whether or not you’ll touch it. If you believe what the catechism teaches, it shapes your practice. You worship according to what you believe, and you also believe according to what you worship. Our beliefs and our practices match!
