The Movie – The First Rosa, a 42 minute movie produced by LCMS will be shown in it’s entity on Monday, Nov 9 at 9:00 pm in our main conference area.
Born to an ordinary life in an ordinary town in rural Alabama, Rosa J. Young was anything but ordinary. She would go on to accomplish extraordinary things for her community and the kingdom of God. She played an instrumental role in the founding and development of 30 Lutheran elementary schools and 35 Lutheran congregations throughout Alabama’s Black Belt region. Her legacy is unparalleled as a compassionate educator, confessor and church planter for Christ and His Church. It’s time to hear Rosa’s full story
This movie will be made available to schools & congregations in January so this is a great time to preview it!
Then on Tuesday at 10:35, teacher Rich Schwantz (Concordia Lutheran, Fort Wayne) will lead a session, Modeling the Faith Using Rosa Young on integrating this story into your English, social studies and religion curriculum

LAMP Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots will be offering a session on Tuesday, that goes into the details of their work and the needs of the ministry to the First Nations communities. Learn how you can support this important mission of proclaiming the Gospel. Rev. Dennis Ouellette (recently from the Indiana District) will be the presenter.
One Life Together: Supporting Families Experiencing Disability Discover tools and resources for coming alongside families whose child has a disability with Deaconess Kimberly Trombley of Bethesda Lutheran Communities.
Tuesday Nov 10 at 11:45 for Early Childhood – During the Roundtables, there will be a group for teachers of 2-year olds facilliated by Gwen Kanning of Emmauel Lutheran, Fort Wayne, IN.
