Evansville Lutheran Food Pantry

The Evansville Lutheran Food Pantry was begun by St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in a small storage closet at the end of the hallway inside Evansville Lutheran School. God has blessed this ministry so that it has become one of the city’s largest pantries, recently preparing boxes for 200 families.

Over the years the food pantry has grown with volunteers coming from all over the city to serve individuals in need in the center of Evansville. With the help of the area congregations, through the work of their Lutheran Mission Action Council, the pantry has been blessed with excellent facilities that now has a walk-in freezer that is larger than the original storage closet where the ministry began.

We are thankful to God for His blessings, especially for the gift of supportive congregations and the hard work of many volunteers. For more information about the Evansville Lutheran Food Pantry call at 812-422-5414.
