Indiana District Convention Logo Contest Rules
The winner of the contest will have their artwork featured in the 2021 Indiana District Convention materials. All entries must be in by December 15, 2020. No entries will be accepted after that date.
What types of artwork are eligible?
– The artwork must represent and contain the words of the District Convention theme “Christ’s Life – Our Light John 1:4”
– Designs must be in color (Note: The colors you use need to be easily reproducible online and on paper. Please keep in mind that your logo might be reproduced in black and white as well).
– Computer-generated images are encouraged (Specifically made with Adobe Suite), but all components must be completely original. You may not use any copied images.
– Hand drawn entries are allowed but the final logo will be a digital recreation of your entry.
How will awards be determined?
Entries will be vetted for adherence to eligibility standards and usability by the Indiana District staff and marketing team which will take place after final entries are received on December 15th. The decision of the Indiana District is final.
Who Can Enter?
Eligibility is limited to artists who are members in good standing of an Indiana District – LCMS congregation or a student, staff or faculty member of an Indiana District – LCMS school.

How must entries be submitted?
All entries must include a valid entry form
Entries may be submitted by mail or email
Receipt of entries will be acknowledged
What rights will the Indiana District – LCMS retain in submitted designs?
Your entry to the contest constitutes a grant from you to the Indiana District – LCMS of a free perpetual non-exclusive license authorizing your design to be displayed by the Indiana District – LCMS and their congregations and schools during the promotion and conduct of the District Convention. All entries must be free of claims and rights of third parties. The Indiana District – LCMS reserves the right to make modifications to art, text and context for their purposes. The Indiana District – LCMS is not responsible for damage to or theft of artwork. If a hard copy rather than a digital copy is submitted for entry, the hard copy can be returned to the artist upon request.
What rights will the entrants retain?
Entrants retain all other rights to future use of their artwork as specified.
May entrants sell their design?
Yes, but the purchaser must be advised that The Indiana District – LCMS retains the rights enumerated in “What rights will The Indiana District – LCMS retain in submitted designs?”
