Promise, Fort Wayne, Receives Associate Pastor

Scott R. Hedtke, a 2020 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, was ordained and installed as associate pastor at Promise Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne on June 14 by President Daniel J. Brege.

St. Peter’s, Warsaw Welcomes New Pastor

Gino Marchetti II, a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, was called to serve St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Warsaw, Indiana. His ordination and installation was held on Saturday, June 27.

Zion, Decatur Welcomes Associate Pastor

Zachary Oedewaldt, a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, was ordained and installed as associate pastor on July 12. He joins Rev. James Voorman in team ministry.

St. Paul’s, Fort Wayne Welcomes Associate Pastor

St. Paul’s Lutheran installed a new associate pastor, Josemon (Joe) Thomas Wallace Hoem, on July 19. Reverend Hoem came from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Murphysboro, IL where he was the sole pastor for eight years.

Rev. Dr. Michael Kumm, chairman of the LCMS Board of Directors preached at the installation. Rev. Peter Cage officiated the service with Rev. Dr. Charles Gieschen, Rev. Dr. John Nordling , Rev. Ralph Schmidt and Rev. Dr. Don Wiley participating during the service. Also present at the ceremony were Rev. Dr. Carl Fickenscher, Rev. Dr. Paul Grime, Rev. Dr. Timothy Quill and Rev. David Werner.

Hoem has been married for 23 years to Kristin Hoem who will serve as St. Paul’s new 3rd grade teacher. They have been blessed with four beautiful children: Maxwell (19), Nigel (17), Sophie (15) and Charlie (9).

St. James, Reynolds Welcomes New Pastor

Andrew Keller was ordained and installed on Sunday, August 2 at St. James, Reynolds.
