Call Day 2019 Schedule

Published on April 11th, 2019

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” Ephesians 4:11-14

In less than three weeks is the highlight of every year at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW): Candidate Call Service. Candidates for the pastoral office will receive their Divine Call and discover where they will serve as shepherds of Christ’s flock after graduation in May. The Candidate Call Service will take place in Kramer Chapel on Tuesday, April 30, at 7:00 p.m. (EDT).

The evening before, deaconess students and second-year seminarians find out where they will serve as an intern or vicar, at the Vicarage and Deaconess Internship Assignment Service on Monday, April 29, also at 7:00 p.m. (EDT). Both services are open to the public and anyone unable to attend in person can join the CTSFW community at callday.ctsfw.edu or at www.facebook.com/ctsfw. Please join us in praying for these men and women as they discover where they will serve the Lord.

Concordia Seminary St. Louis will be holding their Call Day with vicarage assignments and candidate placements on Wednesday, May 1.
