Ascension Lutheran Christian School – We Love to Tell the Story

After years of careful planning, Lutheran education has returned to Gary, Indiana. Ascension Lutheran Christian School opened for classes in August at Our Savior Lutheran Church, the former site of Gary Lutheran School.

The school is a collaborative effort between the Indiana District, LUMIN (Lutheran Urban Mission Initiative) and The Lutheran School Corporation of Indiana. Sue Zientara, principal, Rev. Delwyn Campbell, strategic mission developer, and many other District leaders have worked tirelessly to open the school this year.

The new school and our mission in Gary need your continued support and prayers. We ask you to share the story of Ascension Lutheran Christian School using the resources below. Please let your congregation know about this strategic outreach to the Gary community.
