Announcing a new DDRC

District Disaster Relief Coordinators (DDRCs) serve the volunteers who make up our Lutheran Early Response Teams (LERT). DDRCs are key in facilitating LERT trainings, as well as coordinating response efforts to serve those affected by disasters within and beyond our district.

In the Indiana District, our DDRCs serve by geographic area. The Southern region (Circuits 16-24) of the district is currently covered by four men: Rev. Matthew Woods and Mr. Doug Netherton serve the eastern side of the region, Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez oversees the Seymour area, and Mr. Keith Kahre serves in the Evansville area. The Central region (Circuits 10-15) has been served by Rev. Dr. Alan Scott, but unfortunately he is needing to step down to focus on other responsibilities, creating a vacancy in this region. This joins a need for another DDRC in the Northeast region (Circuits 5-9) to supplement the efforts of Rev. Dr. Geoff Robinson and the District Office staff.

With gratitude we announce the addition of a new DDRC to our team. Pastor at First Lutheran Church in Hanna, Indiana, Rev. Michael Osbun has volunteered to fill this role for the Northwest region (Circuits 1-4). Please join us in giving thanks for his willingness to serve!
