The LCMS National Convention is always held the year following our district convention, and the next is being held July 18-23, 2026 in Phoenix, AZ. We are currently looking for rostered workers who are willing to serve as ADVISORY DELEGATES. Those eligible for serving as advisory delegates include all commissioned workers (active, candidate, or emeritus), as well as ordained SMP’s, chaplains / RSO workers, candidates, and emeriti.
District Secretary Rev. Danny Mackey sent out emails through the district office to those eligible to serve, giving more details, letting them know how many commissioned and ordained advisory delegates (and alternates) the Indiana District can send to the national convention, and how to get their names on the ballot for those positions. All interested and eligible commissioned workers should email Martha Peters at martha.peters@in.lcms.org, and all interested and eligible ordained workers should email District Secretary Mackey directly at distsec@in.lcms.org.
All responses are requested by August 1.
All those who have indicated their desire / willingness to serve in this capacity will be included on an upcoming ballot to determine our Indiana District Advisory Delegates for the 2026 convention. If you are interested in possibly serving in this important role, think you are eligible, but didn’t receive the letter, please contact the District Office at 260.423.1511.
