Do you have your Advent stuff out? Advent wreath/candles/Advent calendar/Advent Devotions? For some people it is hard to work Advent into Advent! For a lot of people Advent is the quick run up to Christmas and it gets lost in the shuffle of all that goes on these weeks.
That’s really too bad because Advent has good and important themes for our personal lives and the lives of those around our tables. It is a wonderful time to think about a variety of themes including: hope, love, joy, peace, prophecy, patience, repentance, etc. It is a time to prepare to celebrate the Incarnation and the light Jesus brings into our darkened world!
