“OPERATION BARNABAS”
Since 2001, over 1.5 million
reservists and National Guard members have
deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom
and Operation Enduring Freedom. This has had a
dramatic impact on our congregations and
communities. "Operation Barnabas" is a joint
effort by LCMS World Relief and Human Care and
LCMS World Mission--Ministry to the Armed Forces
(MAF) to respond to the tremendous pressures
placed on our military members today.

purpose of this television ministry is to present through the use of the
media facilities available, the ministry of the Lutheran Church to the
public and to those who are unable to leave their homes for worship. This
primarily is done through the 30 minute TV service called, “Worship for
Shut-Ins”.
